Friday was a really cheap day for us but we did a ton of things.
- Started off by going to the Zoo. Time Warner Cable switched to a new billing platform and fucked up a lot of things. They said sorry by sending everyone two tickets to the Columbus Zoo. We had a great time. My favorite animals were the sea otters, penguins and this crazy monkey. See photos from our visit here.
- After the zoo we saw Elvis Costello... for free! There was free tickets all around town if you knew where to look. It was my first time seeing him and it was a really great show. (especially cuz it was FREE, HA!)
- Later at night there was a free Celebrity Pilots show at Skully's. FREE! WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS WORLD?
- I ended the night by seeing Megan Palmer @ St James, around 1:15am. Sadly, this show cost me $2,, ending the free streak.
In the arcade I was all about Donkey Kong and Spy Hunter. I used to spend a ton of dough at the Flavor Gallery in Clifton playing Donkey Kong.
Once the console systems hit I was all about Super Mario Brothers collection of games and Metroid. These days I am bad at all video games yet I want to own every system.
Kiesha had to be at work early, which meant I had to be awake early, too. Not sure how that works, but there you go.
Corgi had a hand in the waking up, too. Sometimes she gently wakes me up, today she woke me up by biting my arms and headbutting me until I woke up, fed her, took her out. That crazy corgi.
Some things I did today:
- Sent Miranda Sound CDs to Omaha and Indianapolis for tour press.
- Sent 4 donewaiting.com t-shirts out.
- Sent publicist check (sorry it's late).
- Sent Megan Palmer contract.
- Posted the music picks for the week on weColumbus
- Discovered how easy it is to print labels from Microsoft Word
- Went to High Five to pick up a pair of free tickets to see Elvis Costello tomorrow.
- Open up donewaiting bank account
- Email Alison Rose people
Hello everyone. Thanks to fellow donewaiting.com writer Steve Miller for getting me an invitation to this little website. Hopefully I will love it and use it for one more distraction in my life.
